ALC maximizes the potential of young children with special needs, and creates awareness and acceptance between non-disabled people and people with disabilities through:
-Inclusive Preschool Programming with an Inclusion Specialist who supports children with disabilities so they can attend regular, accredited preschools.
-A Therapy Education Plan (TEP) developed for each student.
-Inclusive Speech Therapy Service.
-Pet Therapy provided by a licensed Occupational Therapist.
-Inclusion Training and consultation for early childhood educators and parents.
-Family support services throughout schoolyear (school visits, attend IEP meetings, etc.) and during transition from ALC to new school settings.
-Observations, screening, and community resource referral programs.
-On-site Supervisors with daily support and advisement for Inclusion Specialists at each of our 9 Inclusive Preschool partnership locations.
