The Requirement to Conduct FBAs and to Develop and Implement BIPs: What Does the Law Provide and What Do Courts and Agencies Say?
This presentation is being co-sponsored by the Center for Leadership in Disability at Georgia State University, the GSU College of Law, and the Emory Autism Center (EAC). The EAC is a Behavior Analyst Certification Board approved continuing education provider. We are pleased to offer 3 BACB Type II Ethics CEUs.
This presentation will provide an overview of what the law provides regarding the requirement to conduct FBAs and to develop and implement BIPs for students with disabilities. In addition, this session will explore court and agency decisions regarding those requirements, as well as challenges to the content and quality of FBAs and BIPs as it relates to the provision of a free appropriate public education.
