Jackie McNair is a Gwinnett County Public Schools parent mentor who is also a long-time advocate for people with special needs, She is the recipient of the 2017 Phil Pickens Award for her work with the school district, as well as at the regional and state levels in education. She creates and develops several workshops, to teach parents about special education and how to be involved effectively in their schools and communities. McNair has been involved in disability-related organizations and programs.
